Employee Support through Cox Charities
Cox Communications values each and every member of our team. The Cox Employee Relief program was formed to provide Cox employees with short-term financial assistance during unexpected and unavoidable hardships and emergencies.
These grants are designed to help Cox employees bridge the financial gaps that exist after unanticipated emergencies.
Cox employees are eligible to apply for relief funds under multiple circumstances. Employees should use available resources such as medical and life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, personal savings, assistance from family members before applying for funds.
In the event of an unexpected and unavoidable emergency that places a financial hardship on the employee, the employee may apply for assistance.

Support Types
Through Cox Charities, support may be available to individuals employed at Cox for at least six months. If an employee and spouse/domestic partner are both employed by Cox, only one application will be accepted per family per incident. An employee's spouse/domestic partner may apply for assistance in the event of an employee's death. Each applicant may request up to the maximum amount of assistance given below depending on the type of emergency or disaster; however, not all emergencies will warrant maximum assistance.
Home Catastrophe / Natural Disaster
Maximum grant: $2,000
Disaster grants assist after an employee's residence has been rendered unlivable due to a fire, flood, tornado or other emergency.
Funeral / Emergency Travel
Maximum grant: $1,000
Assistance can be provided for funeral expenses or travel expenses to attend a funeral or to care for a terminally ill employee, spouse/domestic partner or immediate family member.
Military Deployment
